Glen Elliott Dillon, 68, of Belfry, KY passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born April 21, 1955 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of the late Pete and Etta Lena Stroud Dillon.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two infant sons, James Robert Dillon and Billy Edward Dillon, a grandson, Ashton Blake Musick, and a sister, Gloria Dillon Blair.
Glen was a graduate of Williamson High School, and worked for the Mingo County Board of Education retiring from the maintenance and janitorial department. He was a well-known musician most notably for playing the guitar but he could play most stringed instruments. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most importantly, Glen was a Christian and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church at Lenore, WV.
Survivors include his children, Glen Wesley (Tara Michelle) Dillon of Waco, KY, Cassie Loretta Dillon of Beloit, WI, and Ashley Dillon-Grim of Belfry, KY; a brother, Pete (Janice) Dillon of Waco, KY, a sister, Wanda (Tom) Gannon of Williamson, WV; a brother-in-law who was like a brother Clyde Blair of Williamson, WV, his grandchildren, Emily Jade Meade, Adrian Wesley Meade, Nicaila Aris White, Ilexandra Elizabeth Grim, Izaiah Thomas Musick, Braya Erilyn Muir, Isabelle Grace Dillon, Brody Wesley Dillon, and Christopher Ransom Dillon; a special friend Caiden Cantrell of Belfry, KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Fellowship Baptist Church at Lenore, WV with Pastor Don Stroud officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Sunday evening at the Fellowship Baptist Church.
