Barbara Jean (Hill) Gooslin

Barbara Jean (Hill) Gooslin, 63, of Red Jacket, WV passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born July 25, 1957 in Williamson, WV, she was the daughter of Freeman Eugene and Rosa Lee (Hite) Hill of Red Jacket, WV. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Hill, 2 infant brothers, and a granddaughter, Destiny Renee Brewer. 

Barbara was a graduate of Matewan High School and obtained her bachelors degree from WV State College in Special Education.  

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her children, Rose Anna (Matt) Eblen, Steve Randall Gooslin II, and Matthew Gooslin, her grandchildren, Brayden Coleman, Alyse Gooslin, Colton Chafin, Aubrey Gooslin, and Allysun Gooslin, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that were very special to her. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Rev. Curtis Newcomb officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hill Cemetery on Grapevine Fork at Beech Creek, WV with Brayden Coleman, Matt Eblen, Jimi Vance Jr. and other family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Saturday evening at the funeral home.
