Benjamin "Ben" Taylor

Benjamin “Ben” Taylor, 73, of Martin County, KY passed away Sunday; May 10, 2026 in the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center emergency room.  Born July 15, 1952 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of the late Dennis B. and Lassie Dawson Taylor. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo McCoy Taylor, and five brothers, Ray, Henry, Paul, Jr., and Jimmy Taylor. 

Ben was a former machinist and a member of the Nolan Street Church. 

Survivors include his sons, Jamie Taylor of Warfield, KY and Joey (Cindy) Taylor of Crum, WV, one brother, Danny “Buzz” (Rose) Taylor of Circleville, OH, two sisters, Ruth Ramey of Crum, WV and Doris (Danny) Calhoun of Columbus, OH, his grandchildren, Carter and Emily Taylor, Kaylee and Bri Taylor, and Matthew Dean.  Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday; May 13, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Earl White and Bro. John Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
