Bo (Ronald Lee) Kennedy

Bo (Ronald Lee) Kennedy, 73, of Beech Creek, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 23, 2024 from the Pikeville Medical Center.  Born October 30, 1950 at O’Keefe, WV, he was the son of the late Everett and Jeanette Mahon Kennedy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Stepp, and three brothers, Fuzz, Charlie, and Thomas Kennedy. 

Bo was a retired coal miner from Old Ben Coal Company and a member of the Beech Creek Church of Christ. 

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Cookie (Audrey) Murphy Kennedy, daughters, Kimberly Kennedy and Rhonda (Michael) Goad, one brother, Bruce (Brenda) Kennedy, his grandchildren, Kaylee (Patrick), Seth Goad, Kub Kennedy, Daylin (Carrie) Goad, Isa (Mikayla) Scales, and Michaelin Goad, two great grandbabies, Daxton Bo and Ellie Tate, his fur baby, Ellie Mae, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Bruce Murphy officiating.  Burial will follow in the Murphy Cemetery on Foundation Fork at Beech Creek.  Active pallbearers will be his boys (grandsons).  Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Mahon and Johnny Earl Murphy who were like his brothers. 

The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 pm Friday.
