Bobby Ray Burton

Bobby Ray Burton, 56, of Lovely, KY passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born May 30, 1967 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Vergie Dotson May of McAndrews, KY and the late Charles Burton. 

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, David Earl Burton.

Bobby worked for many years in the coal mines and was currently a fire boss for Coronado Steel. 

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife of nearly 36 years Pamela Fields Burton of Lovely, KY, three sons, Bobby Lee Burton of the home, Nick (Amber) Burton of McAndrews, KY, and Joe (Jasmine) Burton of Hardy, KY, one daughter, Charity Burton of the home, three brothers, Chuck Burton of McVeigh, KY, Frank Burton of Huntington, WV, and Rick Burton of McAndrews, KY, three sisters, Genieva Sizemore of Williamson, WV, Melissa Varney of Ransom, KY, and Ashley Burton of Matewan, WV, four grandchildren, Davin Burton, Kenzie Burton, Paisley Burton, and Parker Tomblin.  Also surviving is a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Faith Mission Church at McCarr, KY with Pastor Jimmy Fields officiating.  Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at his home in Lovely, KY with family serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Tuesday, July 18th and Wednesday, July 19th at the Faith Mission Church with services nightly at 7:00 pm.
