Bobby "Bob or Red" Marcum

Bobby “Bob or Red” Marcum, 65, of Naugatuck, WV passed away Saturday, January 6, 2023 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born March 8, 1958 in South Williamson, KY, he was the son of the late John and Minnie Anderson Marcum.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Lee Marcum Jr., and two sisters, Rhoda Johnson and Janie Boone. 

Bob was a former coal miner and attended the West Williamson Freewill Baptist Church and The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ at Dens Branch. 

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Jarvis Marcum of Naugatuck, WV, a daughter, Mary Marcum Burlingame (Bobby Swafford) of Naugatuck, WV, a son, Larry Sheppard Jr. of Naugatuck, WV, three brothers, Mose Marcum of Lenore, WV, Johnny Ray Marcum of Inez, KY, and Ike Marcum of Inez, KY, two grandchildren, Angel Burlingame and Declan Swafford.  Also surviving is a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm at The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ at Dens Branch; Naugatuck, WV with Bro. Gary Dove, Bro. Curt Collins, and Bro. Junior Dean officiating.  Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Maher, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Wednesday at The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ at Naugatuck, WV with services at 7:00 pm.
