Bryan Thomas McCoy

Bryan Thomas McCoy, 47, of Sprigg, WV passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center after a sudden illness.  Born August 12, 1974 in Columbus, OH, he was the son of Donald R. McCoy of Sprigg, WV and the late Lois J. (Goble) McCoy.

In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Edgar "Timmy" McCoy, his sister-in-law, Madena Rose McCoy, a nephew, Taylor Justin McCoy, a niece, Hayleigh Shalayne McCoy, his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Tilda McCoy, his maternal grandparents, Edgar and Blanddene Goble, and a special aunt, Bonnie Sue Goble.

Bryan was a 1992 graduate of Matewan High School.  Afterward, he graduated from Southern WV Community & Technical College and then attended Marshall University.  Bryan was a former call center representative and was an avid fan of comics.  His outgoing personality and genuine concern and care for his family and friends will be greatly missed!

Those left to cherish his memory include his dad, Donald R. McCoy of Sprigg, WV, his sister, Sonya (Sean) Adkins of Hopewell, VA, 2 nephews, Jonathan (Rachael) Adkins and Justin Adkins, a host of other family, and a multitude of dear friends.

In honoring Bryan's wishes, cremation will take place.  A memorial gathering to celebrate Bryan's life will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 6-9 pm at The Shepherd of the Hills Mission Church at 3510 US Rt. 52; Williamson (Maher), WV with a service to be held at 7:00 pm.
