Carlene Young, 57, of Willisburg, KY formerly of Blackberry, KY was called home on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She surrounded by her brother, 4 children, and her loving companion. Born January 4, 1963 at Sterns, KY, she was the daughter of the late Carl Young and the late Gladys (Whitt) Young-Smith.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Kenny Lynn (Smith) Derringer and her former father and mother-in-law that loved her like she was their own, James and Mary Lou Young.
Carlene professed her faith years ago and was of the Baptist faith.
Carlene had a smile that was contagious and her love was warm. Those that came to know her can tell you, she was one of a kind. She enjoyed spending time outside at the pond fishing and being with those she loved. She became a blogger to so many that suffered with Crohn’s disease, to which she herself suffered with for so long. They became her family, which helped her cope with it as well.
Her survivors include, her loving companion Tony Easterling, 1 brother, Donnie (Anna) Young, 1 son, Joshua David Young (Krissy Adams), 4 daughters, Jessica Lynn Young (Michael Smith), Rebecca Stanley and Haley Stanley, and Anastasia Easterling; 10 grandchildren, Keilee Lovell, Brandon Lovell, Jordan Lovell, Joshua David Young II, Jada Lynn Young, Koda Young, Nova Young, Jentry Williams, Destini Williams, and Gavin Baker; 6 nieces, Cyrstal Sesco, Kaylee Sesco, Faith Webb, Nikki Jones, Candice Arnold, and Rachel Young; 2 nephews, James Young and Brandon Hatfield; 3 very special people, Douglas (Michelle) Young, Clinton (Babs) Young, and Teresa (John Wayne) Sesco; and a host of family and friends that loved her unconditionally.
It’s goodbye for now, until we meet again. We love you and will carry you in our hearts forever!
Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Wednesday evening at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY. In honoring her wishes, cremation will take place following the visitation.
In accordance with current state mandates concerning COVID19, all who attend must wear a mask or other facial covering and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
