Charles Walter "C.W." Finley

Charles Walter “C.W.” Finley, 62, of Williamson, WV went home on Monday, June 6, 2022 in Pikeville, KY.  Charles was born July 19, 1959 in Williamson, WV to the late Millard Curtis Finley Sr. and the late Ruby Marie Horn Finley. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, James Finley, Millard Finley Jr., and George Finley, and sisters, Kathy Figart and Nancy Lawley, and a son-in-law, David Calvert. 

He was a graduate of Williamson High School and was a retired coal miner from Sidney Coal. 

Charles is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty Norman Finley; his daughters, Conswella (Christopher) Stanton of Forest Hills, KY and Ella Finley of Belfry, KY; sons, Matthew Finley of Forest Hills, KY and Marcus Finley of the home; grandson, Braden Calvert of Forest Hills, KY; siblings, Judy Defoe of Williamson, WV, Phyllis Elliot of Bristol, VA, Donald Finley of Varney, WV, Rita Allen, Sue Ella Finley, Joe Finley, and Virginia Finley all of Marvel, Alabama; caregiver, Patricia Wilson of Huddy, KY; friend, Raymond Calvert; and he also leaves behind his fur babies, Mellow, Dave, and Minnie. 

He was “Poppie” to Shelby Porter, Meghan Lincoln, Shauna Steele, Lynzi Naranjo, Chasity Sesco, Katlyn Steele, Mickah Steele, Kristina Steele, Peyton Anderson, and Justin Barker.

In honoring Charles’ wishes, a memorial dinner will be held at his home on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hatfield Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 216, Belfry, KY  41514, to help with final expenses.
