Cleo (McCoy) Taylor

Cleo Taylor, 76, of Riverfront Road; Martin County, KY passed away Monday, February 8, 2022 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born December 1, 1945 in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Brumley and Juanita Scott McCoy.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Alonzo King Jr., her second husband, William Dean, and a sister, Rosemary Deskins.

Cleo was a homemaker and she enjoyed going to the Delbarton Opry House where she often volunteered in the kitchen and concessions.

Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Taylor of Martin County, KY, a son, Michael (Shai) King of South Carolina, a daughter, Jennifer Dean (Rodney Ray) of Huddy, KY, a brother, Don McCoy of Hilton Head, SC, two grandsons, Matthew (Marissa) Dean of Oak Grove, KY and Zach King of Goose Creek, SC, two great-grandsons, Spencer and Myles Dean, special nieces, Sheila Scott and Juanita Turner, special nephew, Sam Deskins, and several other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Bro. John Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in the McCoy Cemetery at Burnwell, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
