Connie (Chapman) Burrell

Connie Burrell, 64, of Right Fork of Laurel Creek; Lenore, WV departed this life on Sunday, May 8, 2022 from the Pikeville Medical Center.  Born March 13, 1958 in Williamson, WV, she was the daughter of the late Pete and June Messer Chapman. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Dale Burrell; a daughter, Marilyn Blankenship; and an infant brother, Orville Chapman. 

Connie was a dedicated homemaker and an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She greatly loved her family and friends.  She was a Christian and attended the Warfield Missionary Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her children, June (Jeffery) Ward of Warfield, KY, John Ed Blankenship of Lenore, WV, Jason (Jessica) Blankenship of Delbarton, WV, and Melissa (Kelly Young) Blankenship of Charlotte, NC; 2 brothers, Alvin Chapman and Wallace “Jay” Chapman both of Lenore, WV; 2 sisters, Paula Preston of Lenore, WV and Myrtle Dillon of Borderland, WV; her grandchildren, Jasmine (Brandon) Evans, Christina Blankenship, Jason Blankenship II, Tristen Blankenship, Jonathan Blankenship, Emma Blankenship, Alexander Young, Lylith Young, and Oliver Young; a great-grandchild on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 at 5:00 pm at the Warfield Missionary Baptist Church with Garmon Preece officiating.
