Connie Sue (Hinkle) Collins

Connie Sue Collins, 65, of Dans Branch; Williamson, WV went to Heaven on Friday; November 28, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones.  Born July 22, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Ermil Buck Hinkle and Shelby Jean Jackson Berry. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Abel Hinkle; 4 sisters, Kathy Hinkle, Elsie Mae Hinkle, Shirley Marcum, and Amanda Hinkle; and 2 brothers; Ermil Hinkle Jr. and William Ray Hinkle. 

Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She touched everyone who knew her and she always had an upbeat spirit.  She had devoted her life to God and attended the Micco Jesus Church when she was able.

Connie’s greatest joy in life was her family.  She leaves behind her husband, Floyd B. Collins Sr. of Williamson, WV; her children, Shelby Jean Sansom of Williamson, WV, Floyd B. (Ann) Collins Jr. of Williamson, WV, Shaunna (Jim) Brindley of Pikeville, KY, Jay (Sierra) Jude of Dunlow, WV, Jacob Hinkle of Williamson, WV, Rosetta Nicole Collins of Matewan, WV, and Bennett Millard Collins of Huntington, WV; 2 sisters, Loretta Mills of Inez, KY and Amy Berry of Huntington, WV; 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday; December 1, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Fletcher officiating.  Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery at Dans Branch with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
