Danny Lee Lester

Danny Lee Lester, 70, of Paw Paw, Ky, went to be with the Lord on February 4th, 2025. A member of the Church of Christ, Danny was born September 14th, 1954, to the Late Don and Mary Jane (Cole) Lester. Danny was also preceded in death by his sister, Dolly Carmilla Lester, Son-in-Law, Danny Ray New, and a special pet, Lulu.  

Danny was most known for his unconditional love for his wife Louise. They married on May 8th, 1973. Sharing two children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was also very proud of his military service. Serving in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service, he became a coal miner. Working most of his time at Island Creek and Chisholm Mines. As a Husband, Father, and Grandfather he was one of the best there was or ever could be.  

Danny is survived by his darling wife of 51 years, Louise (Justice) Lester. He is also survived by their daughter, Dinah (Curtis) Wolford of Paw Paw, Kentucky, and their son, Daniel "Jake" (Nancy) Lester of Coal City, West Virginia. Danny had four grandsons: Brandon Lee (Anna) New, Dylan Ray (Haley) New, Cameron Lee (Lauren) Lester, and Bobby Junior (Kristen) Sargent. His granddaughters include Mary Eloise New, Megan Brooke Lester, and Tiffany (Keith) Randles. In addition, he leaves behind three great-grandsons: Carson Ray New, Easton Hayes New, and Paxton Randles, as well as four great-granddaughters: Olivia Randles, Alanna, Raelynn, and Hadley Sargent. Danny is also survived by his siblings: Douglas Ray (Sybil Gail) Lester, Mary (Eddie) Murphy, Diane Lester, Donna Sue Justus, and Anthony (Kayla) Lester. Danny is survived and missed by a host of nieces and nephews, special family, and friends. Along with his beloved cat, Max. 

The family will gather with friends to honor the life of this great man, at the Two Hands for Christ Community Church at Paw Paw, KY on Friday February 7th and Saturday February 8th at 6:00 pm with services nightly starting at 7:00 pm. Once again family and friends will gather in the church on Sunday February 9th, 2025 for funeral services at 1:00 pm with Tommy Conn and others officiating. Burial will then follow behind his home at the Family Cemetery with family serving as the pallbearers.
