Denise Runyon, 73, of Williamson, WV passed away Saturday; October 25, 2025 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard, KY. Born September 28, 1952 in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Addie and Emogene King Cook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Glen Runyon; a daughter, Sherry Stanley; and four siblings, Glen, Russell, Lige, and Nancy.
Denise was a homemaker and attended the Rawl Church of God.
Survivors include her children, Paula Totten of Sidney, KY, Les Runyon of Blissfield, MI, Tony Runyon of Sidney, KY, Gary Runyon of Jackson, MI, and Robert Runyon of Sterling Heights, MI; one brother, Johnny Cook of Williamson, WV; four sisters, Dolly Martin of Nolan, WV, Faye Cook, Tennessee Cook, and Terri Hale all of Williamson, WV; 26 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday; October 29, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the Rawl Church of God with Pastor Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation for family will begin at 10:00 am and for friends at 11:00 am Wednesday at the church.
