Dennis Lee Dixon

Dennis Lee Dixon, 72, of Beech Creek, WV passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at his home following a lingering illness.  Born May 2, 1950 in Pike County, KY, he was the son of the late KB and Beatrice Mahon Dixon. 

Dennis was a disabled coal miner and a member of the UMWA.  Dennis loved animals, especially horses, and he was an avid fan of Harley Davidson Motorcycles.  He was a member of the Faith Mission Church at McCarr, KY. 

Survivors include his wife, Robin Goad Dixon of Beech Creek, WV, his daughter, Erica (Bear) Cantrell of Matewan, WV, his grandchildren, Tyler Lee (Promise) Dixon of Beech Creek, WV, Alexa Cantrell of Williamson, WV, and Kristin Pruitt of Huntington, WV, his great grandchildren, Harley Grace Dixon, and Emberly Wellman, one brother, Charles “Hawk Eye” (Nancy) Dixon of McCarr, KY, one sister, Linda (David) Fouch of Hardy, KY, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Faith Mission Church at McCarr, KY with Pastor Jimmy Fields officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pinson Cemetery at Buskirk, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Tuesday at the Faith Mission Church with services at 7:00 pm.
