Dennis Ray “Bimbo” Gearles, 60, of Red Jacket, WV passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 following a tragic boating accident at Thacker, WV. Born June 23, 1960 in Pike County, KY, he was the son of the late Howard and Irene Mounts Gearles.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a step-son, Timmy Daniels.
Bimbo was a former coal miner.
Survivors include his wife, Florann Ingersoll Daniels of Red Jacket, WV, his children, Donique (Tony) Mitchem of Red Jacket, WV, Monica Gearles of Kingsport, TN, Lynn Gearles of Majestic, KY, Pinky Gearles of Phelps, KY, Dennis Grahm (Kassie) Gearles of Phelps, KY, and Alexis Daniels of Red Jacket, WV, two step-daughters, Lindsey Daniels of Matewan, WV and Alice Endicott (Gary Chapman) of Chattaroy, WV, a step-son, Kenneth James Ingersoll of Red Jacket, WV, a brother, Tennis Gearles of Freeburn, KY, a sister, Carolyn Gearles of Freeburn, KY, his grandchildren, Billy Mitchem, Austin & Tyler Mitchem, Serenity & Chasity Gearles, Keaton Mayhorn & Bo Bo Mayhorn, Zoey, Howard, and Heath Gearles, Terry Daniels, Michael & Chase Dotson, Cash & Kingsley Pruitt, Xavier & Nicholas Endicott, and Kelsey Ingersoll, his first great-grandchild, Jaxston Mitchem, is due in September, his mother-in-law, Evelyn Ingersoll of Red Jacket, WV, 3 special friends, Bobby Sherpinskas, Christopher Hensley, and Brandon Thompson, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the Faith Mission Church at McCarr, KY with Pastor Jimmy Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Mitchell Branch; Red Jacket, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at the church with services nightly at 7:00 pm.
