Dennis Cecil Ison

Dennis Cecil Ison, 42, of Blackberry City; Matewan, WV passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born September 25, 1979 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of Connie Ball Ison of Blackberry City and the late Ralph Kenneth Ison.

Dennis was a 1997 graduate of Matewan High School and was a former flagger for AEP.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his daughter, Ava Marie Ison of Hurricane, WV, one brother, Ralph Kenneth Ison Jr. of Freeburn, KY, three sisters, Denise Ison of Abingdon, VA, Michelle Ison of Blackberry City, WV, and Shena (Eddie) Justus of Beech Creek, WV, his best friend, Christy Light of Varney, WV, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held.
