Dennis Ray Stroud

Dennis Ray Stroud, 45, of Laurel Creek, Lenore, WV passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 28, 2020.  Born August 3, 1975 in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Catherine Hodge Catron.

In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Sue Stroud, and his maternal grandparents, Glen and Stella Hodge.

Survivors include his dad, Russell Catron of Lenore, WV, 1 daughter, Destiny Stroud of Princeton, WV, 4 sisters, Patricia Stroud of Ingleside, WV, Delina Stroud of Meadow Bridge, WV, Loretta Stroud of Bluefield, WV, and Janelle Wegrzynek of Pennsylvania, 1 brother, Brian Schaefer of Pennsylvania, 16 nieces and nephews, and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins left to cherish his memories.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Laurel Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. James Ed Baisden and Bro. Cornelius Lackey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hodge Cemetery at Naugatuck, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service on Thursday at the church. 

Due to the COVID 19 health situation, all attendees must wear a mask or facial covering and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
