Dollie Marie Hatfield, 89, of Ransom, KY passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson. Born February 10 1932 at Ransom, KY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Nancy Smith Akers.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ed Hatfield; two sons, Anthony Hatfield and Ralph Hatfield; and several brothers and sisters.
Dollie was a homemaker and a member of the Bluesprings Freewill Baptist Church. She was one of the founding members of the Blackberry Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include her children, Eddie (Donna) Hatfield of Lenore, WV, Shelia (Steve) Caudill of Marion, IL, and Maurice Hatfield of Ransom, KY; her grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Hatfield, Wesley Hatfield, Chadwick (Sabrina) Hatfield, Jonathan (Nina) Hatfield, Crystal Hatfield, Mark (Elizabeth) Hatfield, and Brandy Marie Blackburn; great-grandchildren, Chase Hatfield, Jenna Hatfield, Max Hatfield, Molly Hatfield, Haley Hatfield, Kristen Hatfield, and Isabella Marie Vicari; two step great grandchildren, Aidian Amick and Addyson Amick; one brother, Henry Lee Akers of West Union, OH; one sister, Susie Hatfield of Sophia, WV; a daughter-in-law, Faye Hatfield of London, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday; January 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Freedom United Baptist Church, 231 Laurel Creek Rd.; Lenore, WV with her son Elder Eddie Hatfield and other ministers of the Zion Association officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery at Ransom, KY with Steve Caudill, Chadwick Hatfield, Jonathan Hatfield, Mark Hatfield, Christopher Hatfield, Wesley Hatfield, and Garrett Blackburn serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Friday evening at the Freedom United Baptist Church.
