Donetta Lynn (Varney) Marcum

Donetta Lynn Marcum, 66, of Hardy, KY passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born December 25, 1955 in Williamson, WV, she was the daughter of Katherine Kitchen Varney of Forest Hills, KY and the late John Clifford Varney.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald “Ronnie” Marcum. 

Donetta was a longtime of office employee with Persinger Supply before she went to work for the National Bank of Commerce from which she retired.  She was a member of the Regional Church of God at Delbarton, WV.

Survivors include her mother, Katherine Varney of Forest Hills, KY; her sister, Twyla Hatfield of Hardy, KY; a nephew, Jason (Haley) Hatfield of Canada, KY; a niece, Sarah Hatfield of Lexington, KY; a great nephew, Ryan Crabtree; and other extended family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
