Doris (Estepp) Mahon

Doris Marie Mahon, 85, of Beech Creek, WV passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY.  Born December 16, 1938 in Mingo County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Wheeler and Ruby Combs Estepp. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dominic Mahon, and two brothers, Roger Estepp and Tommy Estepp. 

Doris was a homemaker and formerly worked as a custodian for the Mingo County school system.  She was a member of the Devon Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, James Mahon of Beech Creek, WV, two sons, Randy (Helen) Mahon and Jamey (Lula) Mahon of Beech Creek, WV, two grandchildren, Heather and Corey, a great-grandson, Chandler, five brothers, Fred Estepp of North Matewan, WV, Johnny (Linda) Estepp of Alabama, Wheeler (Elizabeth) Estepp Jr. of Morgantown, WV, Michael (Patsy) Estepp of McCarr, KY, and Ricky (April) Estepp of North Matewan, WV, two sisters, Helen (Lewis) Woody and Ollie Ruth (Frank) Jackson both of Deltona, FL.  Also surviving is a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Devon Church of Christ with Bro. David Blankenship and Bro. Travis Simpkins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Grover Kennedy & Mahon Cemetery at Beech Creek, WV with Dakota Sheppard, Derek Blair, Corey Mahon, Bert Gibson, and other family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Thursday at the Devon Church of Christ with services at 7:00 pm.
