Dorothy Lindell (Scalf) Hatfield

Dorothy Lindell Hatfield, 82, of Hardy, KY passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at her home.  Born March 17, 1941 in Martin County, KY, she was the youngest of twelve children born to the lateOliver and Edna Maynard Scalf. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hatfield, and ten brothers and sisters. 

She formerly worked for Hobb’s Department Store and Magic Mart and she was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include one sister, Lou Williamson of Hardy, KY, a devoted nephew, Gideon Williamson of Hardy, KY, and a host of nieces and nephews in OH, VA, TN, AL, and KY. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Elder Mike Elswick officiating.  Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Turkey Creek, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
