Elizabeth (Libby) Ann Copley Ball of Williamson, WV passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the age of 85. She and her late husband, John E. Ball, owned and operated the Wester Auto Store in Williamson, WV for over 30 years. She later returned to her passion of teaching at Burch High School for over 20 years, where she continued to teach until the age of 75. She lived in her beloved town of Williamson for 60 years.
She is survived by her eldest son, Steven Ball, and her cherished daughter-in-law, Norma (Jackson) Ball. She is also survived by her beloved adoptive son, Mike Smith, and his wife, LesiaKae Smith. She leaves behind grandchildren who occupied her daily thoughts, Jordan Ball of Pittsburgh, PA, and Jon Ball of Austin, TX. Other survivors include sister-in-law, Micky Copley, niece, Christy (Copley) Snyder, niece, Sydney Kay Copley, daughter-in-law, Patti Shelton, adoptive grandson, Elmer Salgado, and his wife, Jeimi Salgado, and great-grandchildren, Haley Salgado, Abby Salgado, and Gavin Salgado.
Her death was sadly preceded by the love of her life, John E. Ball, youngest son, Gregory Ball, mother, Cordella Banks, father, Ted Banks, brother, Sidney Copley, and special niece, Lisa (Copley) Dawson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Rev. Jarod Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
Due to COVID19 health mandates, all those in attendance are required to wear a mask or facial covering and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
