Elizabeth Rose Hammond, 57, of Red Jacket, WV passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center in South Williamson, KY. Born June 19, 1967 in Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William Floyd “Bill” and Opal Virginia Hatfield Dodgins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Michael Hammond, 2 brothers, Christopher Dodgins and Charles Troy Bice, and a sister, Katrina Kay Mayhew.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter and her fiancée, Deanna “Blue” Davis and Eddie Burns of Huntington, WV, 3 sisters, Lisa (Paul) Dearfield of Red Jacket, WV, Lillian “Lea” (Earl “Skip”) Hatfield of Newtown, WV, and Cynthia Bice of Michigan, a nephew, Billy, nieces, Kayla and Nikki, a grandchild, Harley Quinn Burns, a host of friends, and her beloved fur babies, Max, Bear, Buster, and Peanut.
Cremation has been chosen and the family will hold a celebration of life service at a later date and it will be announced when finalized.
