Elmer Daniels, 86, of Beech Creek, WV passed away suddenly Thursday, June 4, 2020 at his home. Born June 12, 1933 at O’Keefe, WV, he was the son of the late Earl and Ada Mahon Daniels.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca "Bett" Daniels, a son, Charles Neal Daniels, a brother, Charles Daniels, and a sister, B.G. Campbell.
Elmer served his country as a member of the U.S. Army where he was honorably discharged as a Corporal. He retired from the N&W Railroad and was a member of the Devon Church of Christ.
Survivors include his son, Danny Daniels of Huntington, WV and Beth Hilbert Daniels of Delbarton, WV, his daughter, Tammy and Johnny Murphy of Beech Creek, WV, a brother, Bill Daniels of Newtown, WV, his grandchildren, Meghan (Matt) Jaquint, Camryn Daniels, Neal Murphy, and Cindy (Ryan) Gresham, his great-grandchildren, Knox Jaquint, Autumn Murphy, Peyton Dingess, and Maddux Gresham, special friends, Randy Lee, Shannon Lawson, and Keecie Looney. Also surviving is a host of other friends.
In honoring Elmer's wishes, a graveside service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 5:00 pm at the Daniels Cemetery at Beech Creek, WV with Bro. David Blankenship officiating with burial to follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
