Elmer "ELMO" Hatfield Jr.

Elmer “Elmo” Hatfield Jr., 53, of North Matewan, WV passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in the Pikeville Medical Center emergency room at Pikeville, KY.  Born December 21, 1967 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of Phyllis (Wooten) Hatfield of Logan, WV and the late Elmer Hatfield Sr. 

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Hatfield. 

Elmo formerly worked for S&S Recycling. 

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Jeremy Hatfield of North Matewan, WV and Michael Justice of Belington, WV, a granddaughter, Michaela Justice, siblings, Cathy (Fonso) May of Newtown, WV, Mike (Tara) Hatfield of Newtown, WV, Jeff (Stephanie) Hatfield of Pikeville, KY, and Timbo Hatfield of North Matewan, WV.  Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Chafin Cemetery at Ragland, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
