Eloise Sue (Hicks) Cook

Eloise Sue (Hicks) Cook, 73, of Uneeda, departed this life Friday, May 27, 2022 at Logan Regional Medical Center following a long illness. 
She was born March 11, 1949. A daughter of the late Grady and Dolly (Linville) Hicks. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one brother, Terry Hicks; two sister in law, Laura Loftis and Vicky Cook. 
Sue was of the Pentecostal faith and assisted in various ways throughout the years in the Church. She enjoyed studying her bible, doing crafts, cooking, watching wrestling, going out to eat and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Lester Cook of Uneeda; two sons, Robbie Tidwell and Danny and Kelly Cook of North Carolina; two daughters, Marsha and George Melber of South Carolina and Nicole and Kevin Boehm of North Carolina; five brothers, Rogers (Vivian) Hicks of Alum Creek, Donnie Hicks of Madison, Danny (Sherry) Hicks of Uneeda, Greg Hicks of Madison and Jackie Hicks of Madison; three sisters, Patsy Nelson of Ottawa, Dottie (Lester) Miller of Danville and Tammy Mclaine of Foster; eleven grandchildren, Tasha, Chastity, Anna Leigh, Cecilia, Anthony, Brandon, Breanna, Charity, Noah, Zachary and Jordon; one great grandchild, Aeva and two on the way; Libby Prince who was like a sister as well as a host of other family and friends. 
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sue’s nephew, Jeremy D. Brown for taking time to minister and visit with her and for caring for her after her passing. The Prayer Connection Lighthouse Church and the Meeker family. And Nicole’s Church family First Apostolic Church of Morganton, NC. 
Homegoing celebration service with be Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Prayer Connection Lighthouse Church – Danville, WV with Rev. Jeremy D. Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in the Danville Memorial Park in Danville, WV.  There will be a gathering of family and friends two hours (12:00 – 2:00 P.M.) prior to the service. 
Bollinger Funeral Home – Charleston, WV and Hatfield Funeral Chapel – Belfry, KY are assisting the family with arrangements.
