Fayette Fields

Fayette Fields, 87, of South Williamson, KY passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022.  He was born at Wolf Creek in Martin County, KY on April 11, 1935 the son of the late Joseph “Joe” Fields and Effie (Lowe) Fields. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers George, Harvey, and Bill Gordon Fields, and sisters Madge Meadows Franc, Charlene Reines, and Bernice Hale. 

He retired from Thompson Trucking & Equipment at Goody, KY.  He worked at a lot of other places too. 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Joan (Wilson) Fields of South Williamson, KY, one son, Jimmy (Mary) Fields of South Williamson, KY, one daughter, Fayetta Jo “Faye” (David) Hatfield of Ransom, KY, 5 grandchildren, Ruth E. (Glen) Reed of Indiana,  David K. Hatfield Jr. of Pippa Passes, KY, Sarah Jane Fields of Williamson, WV, Samantha Faith Fields and Samuel Jacob Dillon “Sammy” Fields both of South Williamson, KY, two great-grandchildren, Austin Stafford of Stone, KY and Keirston Stafford of Ransom, KY, 1 great-great-grandson, Isaiah Matthew Childers of Stone, KY, 1 sister, Betty Jude of Ohio, and a host of friends. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Friday at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY after which a procession will go to the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY for a graveside committal service.
