George Garald Anderson

George Garald Anderson, 71, of Fort Gay, WV passed away suddenly at his residence on Monday, July 26, 2021.  Born January 1, 1950 in Logan, WV, he was the son of the late Garald Thurman and Boeranzie Anderson.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant son, Darrell Eugene Anderson, and brothers, Joseph Anderson and Charlie Anderson.

George was the oldest of 6 children.  He loved watching college football, especially his favorite team, The Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by son, Garald Thurman Anderson (Becky Stiltner) of Matewan, WV, his sister, Lois Anderson of Citrus Springs, FL, brothers, Michael (Sandy) Anderson of Chattaroy, WV and Willie (Kitty) Anderson of Mudlick, WV, granddaughter, Tiarra Anderson of Matewan, WV, numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Eddie Robinson.

A short viewing will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY.  His final farewell will take place immediately after the viewing at the Goff Cemetery in Martin County, KY with Garald Anderson, Willie Anderson, and James Bellamy serving as pallbearers.
