Gerald Pack, 79, of Beech Creek, WV peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at his home. Born September 21, 1944 at Devon, WV, he was the son of the late Oscar and Etta Murphy Pack.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rhodena Pack, 4 brothers, Carl, Robert, Ernest Sr., and Woodrow Pack, and 5 sisters, Mary Hardin, Delores Hughes, Opal Goad, Nellie Coulter, and Anna Lee Gilman.
Gerald was a retired machine operator with the N&S Railroad with 28 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish, hunt, and being out with his beagles. He was a member of the Devon Church of Christ.
Survivors include his children, JoAnn Pack of Beech Creek, Gerald Edward (Sharon) Pack of Beech Creek, and Renae Pack of Beech Creek, like a daughter, Stacey Lee of Beech Creek, 4 brothers, Oscar “Halo” (Pam) Pack of Beech Creek, Charles “Buck” Pack of Princeton, WV, James Eddie (Phyllis) Pack of Ragland, WV, and Ray Pack of Richmond, VA, li3 sisters, Barbara (Kenny) Varney of Matewan, WV, Erma Jones of Powhatan, VA, and Shirley Chandler of Lake City, FL, like a sister, Thelma Jean Prater of Lorain, OH, his grandchildren, Danica Prater, Abigail Prater, Tiera (Chad) Asbury, Erik (Kala) Sipple, and Kyle Sipple, 2 great grandchildren, Callie and Gannon Sipple, special friends, Mike Spradlin and Lee “Buster” Sipple, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Bro. Travis Simpkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Beech Creek with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
