Glen Cook Obituary

Glen Roger Cook, 76, of Williamson, WV passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at his home.  Born December 9, 1947 in Martin County, KY, he was the son of the late James Addie Cook and Emogene King Cook.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Chloe Cook, a stepdaughter, Darlene Young, a granddaughter, Lanae Turner, a great-granddaughter, Chloe Marie Hall, 2 brothers, Elige Cook and James Russell Cook, and a sister, Nancy Robinette. 

Glen was a former coal miner with Pittston Coal Company and a member of the UMWA.

Survivors include his children, Glenna (Paul) Reis, Dreama (Alex) Turner, Glen (Jenny) Cook Jr., Glen Cook III, Rebecca (Gary) Hager, and Glenn (Ashley) Hall; his stepchildren, Betty Diener, Jimmy (Effie) Stanley, and Ricky (Easter) Stanley; 1 brother, Johnny Lee Cook; 5 sisters, Glenna F. Cook, Denise Runyon, Terry Hale, Tennessee Bralley, and Dolly Jean Martin; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV with family serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Monday and from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
