Gloria L. (Harrison) Maynard

Gloria Lucille Maynard, 66, of Martin County, KY passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at her home.  Born November 15, 1956 in South Williamson, KY, she was the daughter of Dixie Louise (Blevins) Harrison of Martin County, KY and the late Chester Ray Harrison.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Dale Harrison and Donnie Ray Harrison.

Gloria was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.  She loved to draw and could listen to a gospel song one time and remember it word for word.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Gregory L. Maynard of Martin County, KY, her children, Gregory Lars Maynard Jr., Virginia Lynn Maynard, and Andrew Lee Maynard all of Tazewell, VA, two sisters, Patricia (Doyle) Maynard of Martin County, KY and Judy (Sam) Spaulding of Johnson County, KY, four grandchildren, Nicholas Altizer, Kimberly Altizer, Alexander Altizer, and Larissa Maynard, two great grandchildren, Ruby and Roslynn, a special nephew, Ollie Bear, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Mary Elizabeth Old Regular Baptist Church at Hatfield, KY with Elder Richard Staton officiating and Elder Ron Gannon conducting services.  Burial will follow in the Stepp Cemetery at Hatfield, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 pm Sunday at the Mary Elizabeth Old Regular Baptist Church where services will be held at 7:00 pm.
