Harlin "Geneo" Eugene Sheppard Jr.

Harlin Eugene “Geneo” Sheppard Jr., 53, of Red Jacket, WV formerly of Lenore, WV passed away suddenly Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Matewan, WV.  Born December 27, 1966 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Nancy Farley Marcum, who survives, and the late Harlin Sheppard Sr..

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Michael Sheppard.

He was a former delivery driver mainly for Giovanni’s.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Preece Sheppard of Red Jacket, WV, his mother and step-father, Nancy and Mose Marcum of Lenore, WV, his children, Harlin W. (Bogie) Sheppard of Lenore, WV, Brandon (Candace) Sheppard of Sidney, KY, Cory Harmon of Red Jacket, WV, Samantha (John) Runyon of Warfield, KY, Heather (Darrell) Harmon of Newtown, WV, Brandy (Walt) Collins of Varney, WV, and Courtney (Ashley) Newsome of Elk Creek, WV, 2 brothers, Jerry (Michelle) Sheppard of Lenore, WV and Dallas (Megan) Sheppard-Stafford of Lenore, WV, 1 sister, Cindy (Travis) Newsome of Lenore, WV, 13 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family has chosen cremation and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
