Homer Manns Obituary

Homer Ray Manns, 86, of Delbarton, WV tragically departed this life on Sunday, May 17, 2020.  Born February 15, 1934 in Floyd County, KY, he was the son of the late Floyd and Alice Estep Manns.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his ex-wife, Hester Manns, a daughter, Vanessa Manns, 2 grandsons, Teddy Ray Conley and Mark Justin Hatfield, a great-granddaughter, Jonessa White, a great-grandson, Braydon Scott Manns, 3 brothers, Jackie Manns, Donald Manns, and Holly Manns, and 1 sister, Ella Gillman.

Homer was a retired coal miner from Pittston Coal and a member of the UMWA.

Survivors include his children, Marty Ray Manns, Scotty Manns, Terry (Trina) Manns, and Trina (Troy Varney) Clay all of Delbarton, WV and Crystal (Ace) Hackney of Peebles, OH, 2 sisters, Barbara (Paul Ray) Davis of Delbarton, WV and Grace (Tom) Wellman of Chapmanville, WV, a special friend, Betty Francis Manns of Canada, KY, his grandchildren, Ronnie Jon (Shantasia) White, Rhonda Johnson, Amber (Dave) Lopata, Billy Scott (Tia) Manns, Marissa (Matthew) Dean, Charles (Amanda) Brown, Ronald E. Lovins, Kami Grace Dempsey, and Kayla (Art) Robbins, 18 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and numerous friends that he loved dearly.

Homer was a kind, loving man and his impact on the lives of his family and friends will never be forgotten.  He will be greatly missed!

Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, a graveside service will be held Friday, May 22, 2020 at 1:30 pm at the Estep Family Cemetery on Scarlet Road, Delbarton, WV with Pastor Terry Blankenship officiating with burial to follow with the social distancing recommendations being observed.
