Howard Clifford Harrison

Howard Clifford Harrison, 84, of Hatfield, KY passed away Sunday; June 21, 2026 in Lexington, KY.  Born February 7, 1942, he was the son of the late John Henry and Zella Mae Fraley Harrison. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carmelita Harrison, sister, Opal Tackett, and brothers, JB, Ray, Charlie, Layton, and Bud Harrison.

Clifford was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and love for his family and friends.  He was a member of the Mary Elizabeth Old Regular Baptist Church.  He worked alongside his brothers in a family-owned construction company, CC&J.  Just prior to retirement, he was a coal truck driver.  Later in life he enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Minnie Pearl Blevins Harrison of Hatfield, KY; his children, Teresa Harrison, Russell (Belinda) Harrison, Rhonda Harrison, James Harrison, and Donna Harrison all of Hatfield, KY; two grandchildren, who were the loves of his life, Steven Harrison and Ashley Harrison; two loving sisters, Ruth VanHoose and Wilma Jean Scott both of Chattaroy, WV; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday; June 27, 2026 at 12:00 pm at the Mary Elizabeth Old Regular Baptist Church at Hatfield, KY with Elders Ronnie Gannon, Richard Staton, Hobart Hamilton, David Marcum, and Harold Sesco officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fraley Cemetery at Hatfield, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Thursday and Friday at the Mary Elizabeth Old Regular Baptist Church with services nightly at 7:00 pm.

Clifford's warmth, gentleness, and unwavering love will be forever remembered and surely missed.  This was written with lots of love by his granddaughter, Ashley, for her pawpaw.
