James "Jimmy" Lee Snell

James Lee “Jimmy” Snell, 77, of Thacker, WV passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at his home.  Born May 30, 1945 in Mingo County, WV, he was the son of the late Roy and Ruth Virginia Alderson Snell.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his 2 stepsons, Randy and Billy Browning, brothers, Eddie, Wayne, and Robert Snell, and sisters, Yvonne Hurley, Diana Murphy, and June Miller.

Jimmy was a retired custodian from the Mingo County Board of Education.  He always a smile and kind word for everyone he met.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Snell of Thacker, WV, a stepson, Ronnie Browning of Illinois, his grandchildren, Anthony Browning, Tyler Gooslin, and Allie Browning, a sister, Janet Blankenship, brothers, Michael, David, G.C., Richard, Ronnie, and Hassell Snell.  Also surviving is a host of other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Varney Cemetery at Lynn, WV with burial to follow.
