James Roger Lynch

James Roger Lynch, 78, of Beech Creek, WV passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in the emergency room at the Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV.  Born June 15, 1946 in Matewan, WV, he was the son of the late James Lynch and Goldie Woolridge Blankenship.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Wayne Blankenship, his wife, Connie Lynch, and his son, Dwayne James Lynch.

Roger was a former truck driver and a member of the Devon Church of Christ. 

Survivors include his loving companion and caregiver, Emma Sawyer of Beech Creek, WV, a sister, Leta Blankenship Collins of Beech Creek, WV, an aunt, Alma Whitt of Beech Creek, WV, and one granddaughter. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 5, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Bro. David Blankenship officiating.  Burial will follow in the Wayne Blankenship Family Cemetery at Beech Creek, WV with friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
