Jeanetta "Nettie" Ann (Dempsey) White

Jeanetta Ann “Nettie” White, 67, of Caney Branch; Delbarton, WV passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Born May 15, 1955 in Logan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Aleta Vernatter Dempsey.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Carlos Dempsey.

Nettie was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Russell White of Delbarton, WV, two sons, Robert (Amanda) White of Logan, WV and Charles Anthony “Tony” White of Delbarton, WV, two sisters, Brinda Dempsey and Alma Dempsey both of North Carolina, her grandchildren, Brooklyn, Caitlyn, Anna, and Braxton White, her mother-in-law whom she referred to as “mommy” Gladys Shadd of Naugatuck, WV, and a host of other family, kids she claimed as her own, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Victory Christian Center in Lenore, WV with Pastor Terry Blankenship officiating.  Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Caney Branch; Delbarton, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Friday at the Victory Christian Center with services at 7:00 pm.
