Obituary
Jeffery Todd Prater, 41, of Red Jacket, WV passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home. Born July 1, 1981 in South Williamson, KY, he was the son of Betty Carol Blankenship of Red Jacket, WV and the late Jeffery Prater.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Cora Blankenship, and his paternal grandparents, Levi and Dora Prater.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his sisters, Ashley (Jerome) Jessie of Red Jacket, WV, Miranda Abshire and Mikaela Abshire both of Matewan, WV, his nieces, Kristabelle Epling and Jaela Jessie, his nephews, Braxton Prater, Alex, Ashton, and Caleb Epling, and Grayson Jessie. Also surviving is a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Rev. Howard Branham officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Red Jacket, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
