Joseph Michael Hammond

Joseph Michael “Mike” Hammond, 61, of Red Jacket, WV passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV.  Born July 30, 1959 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of the late Joseph Donald and Barbara Ann (Grimmett) Hammond.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, David Hammond, a sister, Georgia Plummer, and a brother, Peter Samuel Hammond, and several other extended family members. 

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Rose (Dodgins) Hammond of Red Jacket, WV, brothers, Ronnie Keith (Maggie) Hammond of Newtown, WV, Paul (Bobbie) Hammond of Red Jacket, WV, William (Linda) Hammond of Kershaw, SC, and Matthew Lee (Trula) Hammond of Lancaster, SC, a sister, Betty Jo Hatfield of Rogersville, TN, a special aunt, Margie Perry of Forest Hills, KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family, and friends. 

In honoring Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
