Joy Mae Belcher

Joy Mae Belcher, 84, of Varney, WV passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Logan Regional Medical Center.  Born June 6, 1939 at McCarr, KY, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mendy Fields.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Hunt Sr., son, Lewis Hunt Jr., daughter, Novella Fields, and a grandson, Nicholas Endicott. 

Joy was a homemaker and formerly worked in an office for a coal company. 

Survivors include her husband, Ance Belcher of Varney, WV, 3 sons, Ricky (Debbie) Fields of NC, Elbert (Cindy) Hunt of SC, and Doug (Trisa) Hunt of NC, 3 daughters, LaDonna (Rodney) Bryant of NC, Cheryl (Charles) Endicott of WV, and Mary (John) White of NC.  Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. 

Private family services were held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.  In honoring Joy’s wishes, cremation was observed following the services.
