Joyce Gail Price

Joyce Gail Price, 55, of Chattaroy, WV passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at her home.  Born May 11, 1966 in Williamson, WV, she was the daughter of Mary Magdaline Maynard Price of Williamson, WV and the late James Edward Price Sr. 

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her longtime companion, Darrell Vermillion. 

Joyce loved people and never met a stranger.  She had the kindest heart and a gentle soul and everyone that met her loved her.  She always had a smile on her face and would often be seen out walking and talking to the residents of Chattaroy.

In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her brothers and sisters, James Edward Price Jr. of Williamson, WV, Pam Varney of Turkey Creek, KY, Donna (Mike) Ratliff of Gray, TN, and Michael (Christy) Price of Williamson, WV.  Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Shepherd of the Hills Mission Church at Maher, WV with Bro. Danny Lucas officiating.  Burial will follow in the Murphy Cemetery at East Kermit with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service Thursday at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hatfield Funeral Chapel toward final expenses.
