Julie G. Davis

Julie G. Davis, 67, of Kermit, WV passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Wayne Rehab in Wayne, WV.  Born October 10, 1955 at Naugatuck, WV, she was the daughter of the late Amos Davis Sr. and the late Helen Evans Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her companion and father of her son, Sam Henderson, 2 brothers, Amos "Buster" Davis Jr. and Clifford Clinton Davis, and 3 sisters, Delores Faye Davis, Emma Davis, and Sandra Kaye Coleman.

Julie was a homemaker and was a former teacher with the Mingo County School System.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son, William Douglas "Pee Wee" Henderson of Kermit, WV, 5 brothers, Harold (Carlene) Davis of Lenore, WV, Samuel (the late Goldie) Davis of Mount Sterling, KY, Bill (Bonnie) Davis of Kermit, WV, John (Barbara) Davis of Columbus, OH, and Walter (Barbara) Davis of Pilgrim, KY, 1 sister, Helen Ruth (the late Jess) Canterbury of Fort Gay, WV, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY.  Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery at Den Branch; Naugatuck, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
