Kevin Bryant Whitt, 42, passed away on Sunday; March 8, 2026 in Knoxville, TN. He was born on September 28, 1983 in Williamson, WV.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, G.W. and Ruby Whitt, Mary Dotson (Ray), and Willie Hager of Ransom, KY; his maternal grandparents, Lundy and Lily Fuller of Phelps, KY; his favorite uncle, world renowned bluegrass artist Colonel Larry “Big Unc” Fuller; and aunts, Janet Ratliff and Linda Dotson.
Kevin is survived by his only son, Keaton White of Knoxville, TN; his mother, Kathy (Pastor Rick) Dotson of Knoxville, TN; his father, George aka “Cornbread” (Tammy) Whitt of McCarr, KY; his special grandmother, Mary Ann “Ma Mary” Russell of Friendsville, TN; his brothers, Mitchell Whitt and Matthew Whitt of Knoxville, TN; his brother, Chaz (Katlyn) Baker of Georgetown, KY; his sister, Emmalee (Jason) Smith of Elkhorn City, KY; aunt, Mary Church and uncle, Steve Dotson, both of Monticello, KY; a niece, Kendall; a nephew, Sawyer; and a host of cousins.
Kevin was a member of the First Apostolic Church and always gave a helping hand whenever he saw In Christ Ministries Church feeding the homeless and supporting those in need.
Kevin was known for his kindness, humor, and protective nature. He was a hard worker with a creative spirit and a deep love for horses, often spending time with his family and friends at horse shows. He volunteered alongside his fiancée, Tarah Arbach, and her daughter, Alexis, at the Next Step Initiative, where he played a key role serving Knoxville’s homeless community.
His enormous heart, generosity, and his kind smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Finally, nobody will miss Uncle Kevin quite like his two fur babies, Doobie Dew and Jax.
A graveside service will be held Saturday; March 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Cornbread’s Family Cemetery at Lovers Lane; McCarr, KY with his stepfather, Pastor Rick Dotson officiating and burial to follow.
