LaQuita A. Sallee, 42, of Martin County, KY, beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend, went home to the with the Lord on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Born August 25, 1978 in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of Edna M. (Ball) Lucas and the late James F. Lucas.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her son, George A. Hensley Jr., her maternal grandparents, Aunt Marie, Uncle Ted, brother, Virgil Crabtree, and the love of her life, Dallas Anderson.
She was a homemaker and a former drywall installer and painter.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her children, Angel Wilson, Stephen (Bekah) Wilson III, Mary Alice (Chad) Wyer, Elizabeth (De'Van) Hensley, and David Hensley, her siblings, Geneva (Paul) Calhoun, Justin (Leann) Clark, DeWayne Clark, Carlos (Sherry) Crabtree, James (Brenda) Crabtree, Catherine (Pete) Stratton, and Jo Wanda (Chris) Clark, her grandchildren, Rae-Lea Wilson, Stephen Wilson IV, Ava Wilson, William Bryant, Aiden Bryant, Jayda Bryant, Stevie Bryant, Kiera Bryant, Isabella Bryant, and Crislyn Bryant, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 at 12:00 pm at the McVeigh United Pentecostal Church at McVeigh, KY with Chris Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the Goff Cemetery on Rt. 292 on Pike/Martin County line with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Thursday evening at the church.
