Larry Dennis Lockard

Larry Dennis Lockard, 65, of Sidney, KY formerly of Turkey Creek, KY passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024 at his home.  Born November 19, 1958 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of the late Haskell Hansford Lockard and Ethel Frye Lockard. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Cheryl Lockard, 2 brothers, Gary Lockard and Jerry Lockard, and 1 sister, Nina Bishop. 

Larry was a former coal miner.  He had a kind heart and thought of others before himself.  He would have given the shirt off his back to anyone and at times he had.

Survivors include his children, Josh (Kristina) Lockard of Shelbyville, KY, Andrew (Sarah) Lockard of Forest Hills, KY, and Larissa (Pierce Weise) of Georgetown, KY, 3 sisters, Nita Lester of Hardy, KY, Goldie (Ryan) Huff of Varney, WV, and Joann (Martin) Arteaga-Perez of Brooksville, FL, 3 brothers, Harold (Marsha) Lockard of Matewan, WV, Ralph Haskell (Regina) Lockard of Belfry, KY, and Billy (Lisa) Lockard of Aflex, KY, grandchildren, Joshua and Lakelynn Lockard.  Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. 

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.  In honoring Larry’s wishes, cremation will take place following the visitation.
