Linda Lou Owens

Linda Lou Owens, known to many as Granny, 76, of Sidney, KY passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Born February 2, 1944 in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy Smith Clevenger.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Owens, a daughter, Brenda Sue Smith Westfall, a granddaughter, Medeana Rashlle Hendershot, 3 brothers, Jackie, Leon, and Russell Clevenger, and an infant sister.

Linda was a homemaker and of the Freewill Baptist faith. In addition to the love of her family, she was well known for her azaela and snowball bushes. Linda loved being outside working in her flowers and her garden and she loved playing with her grandchildren.

Survivors include 2 sons, Mark (Brittany) Owens of Pikeville, KY and Matthew (Kara) Owens of Stone, KY, 3 daughters, Bridget (Pickle) Ball of Belfry, KY, Cindy Smith and Courtney (Josh) Maynard both of Sidney, KY, 2 sisters, Sharon Thompson of Hillsboro, KY and Geraldine Justice of Raccoon, KY, her grand-children, John Bradley Jones, Tiffany Cantrell, Brittany Hurley, Kevin Alexander Ball, Tiffani Hawks, Canaan Owens, and Echo Rayella Thomas, 3 step-grand-children, Gage, Tytan, and Hartley, her great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Lucas Maynard, Carrigan and Macie Ernest, Brady and Mason Ball, Samuel Hawks, John Bradley Jones and Alexis Jade Jones. Also surviving is a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday evening at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with cremation to follow the visitation to honor Linda's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to help with funeral expenses.
