Loretta Louise (Williams) McCoy

Loretta Louise (Williams) McCoy, 83, of Sprigg, WV passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones at her home following a lingering illness.  Born August 22, 1936 in Williamson, WV, she was the daughter of the late John and Alley Sloan Williams. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Hurshel L. McCoy, a grandson, Joshua McCoy, a brother, Burl, and sisters, Virginia, Ruth, and Mary Ann.

Loretta was a former employee of the Mingo County Schools with 26 years of service.

Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Drema (Robert) Cooper, Melissa (Charlie) Rose, David (Judy) McCoy, and Danny (Debra) McCoy; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Keith) Wright, Christopher (Alisha) Cooper, Kristy (Fred) Boggs, Jeremy (Courtney) McCoy, Graci McCoy, Jasper McCoy, and Anthony (Brittany) McCoy; her great-grandchildren, Alexis Wright, Tyler Cooper, Conner Cooper, Kyson Cooper, Anna McCoy, and Miles McCoy; and a host of friends.

Thank you to all her special caregivers because they all are like family!

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Pastor Ron Pruitt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
