Marie Brock

Marie Brock, 63, of Sidney, KY passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the UK Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY.  Born May 18, 1959 in Williamson, WV, she was the daughter of the late Creacy Varney Chafin.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Chafin and Jimmy Chafin, and three sisters, Alice Chafin, Linda Workman, and Kay Chafin.

Marie was a graduate of Williamson High School.  She was a dedicated homemaker and worked for a while at the former Hatfield McCoy Ford which later became Superior Ford in West Williamson, WV.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Jeffery D. Brock of Sidney, KY; her children, Melissa Dingess and fiancé Kevin May of Stone, KY and Jeffery T. Brock and fiancé Chelsey Nickum of Richmond, KY; her grandchildren, Skyler Worley and fiancé Dylon Orth of Berea, KY, Blake Worley of Stone, KY, and McKenzie May of Stone, KY; sister, Teri Epling of Stone, KY; special sister-in-law and caregiver, Joyce (Chip) McCoy of Sidney, KY; sisters-in-law, Jan (Alven) Brite of Phoenix, AZ and Barbara Brock of Sidney, KY; brothers-in-law, Jim (Terri) Brock of Delbarton, WV and Joe (Shelia) Brock of Rutledge, TN; special niece, Sharon Kay Elizabeth Curry of Chattaroy, WV; special friend, Brenda Hatfield of Sidney, KY; special friend, Lowell Booth; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.

In honoring Marie’s wishes cremation will take place.  A memorial service will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel with Chaplain James Johnson speaking. 
The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 pm Friday.
