Marsha Gail (Hoderfield) Dean

Marsha Gail Hoderfield Cline Dean, 75, of Williamson, WV passed away Friday; May 1, 2026 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Born February 19, 1951 in Gilbert, WV, she was the daughter of the late Herman Hoderfield and the late Dorothy Mounts. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adoptive grandparents, Will and Eunice Hoderfield; her former husband, Douglas D. Cline; two sisters, Linda D. Hoderfield and Shirley Hoderfield; and her fur baby, Sam. 

Marsha was a 1969 graduate of Gilbert High School.  She worked in customer service at the former B&L Furniture Company.  She also worked as a phlebotomist at Williamson Memorial Hospital and as a medical assistant at Appalachian Regional Hospital and at Low County OB/GYN in South Carolina.

Marsha loved to cook and share meals with others or anyone less fortunate.  She had the best recipes and always had a delicious recipe ready to share with others.  All her life she loved animals, and was always helping to get animals rescued and often took them in to care for them until she could find them a good home.  She taught her whole family what unconditional love was and the greatest memory of her could be how she showed love for others.  She was of the Freewill Baptist faith. 

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Dean of Williamson, WV; her children, Jessica (Michael) Wilson of Charleston, SC, Rodney (Misty) Cline of Stone, KY, Ralph Timothy Dean of Williamson, WV, and Melissa Dean of Williamson, WV; her grandchildren, Cassandra Brooke Lloyd, Peyton Baldwin, and Marleyna Wilson; her great-grandchildren, Brielle Jean Andre, Rylie Sophia Andre, Avery Hilton, and Brooks Spaulding; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Gillman of Williamson, WV; a nephew, Eddie Gillman and Family; and her fur baby, Belle.

With grateful hearts and in loving memory of our beautiful mother, Marsha Hoderfield Cline Dean, we would like to share the arrangements to honor her life.

Funeral services will be held Saturday; May 9, 2026 at 12:00 pm at the McVeigh United Pentecostal Church, 4371 Pond Creek Rd., Pinsonfork, KY  41555 with Pastor Joseph Crum officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Friday evening at the McVeigh United Pentecostal Church.  Refreshments will be provided as we gather together to remember, share, and celebrate her life. 

We invite all who knew her to join us as we honor her memory, celebrate her legacy, and rejoice in the promise that she is now enjoying a beautiful heavenly family reunion.
